This is my Tutorial on how to put games on your envTouch.

Heres a video link to the tutorial:

    Things you will need:
    1. your phone
    2. a USB cable
    3. BitPim software
    4. some .swf games

    Step 1.
Download the latest version of BitPim from www.bitpim.org. Make sure you download the 1.0.7 version that came out on August 10, 2009 because it supports the envTouch.

Install it and make sure you are able to run it.

One problem I had to get BitPim to run was that I got an error message saying that msvcp71.dll was not found, I fixed it by downloading the dll from dll-files.com and installing it into my windows>system directory. Here is a direct link to the .dll if you experience the same problem:
    http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcp71

    Step 2:

Before connecting your phone to the computer navigate to settings&tools>tool>usb auto detection> and choose Modem Mode. otherwise it wont work

Once you have BitPim up and running and your phone connected to your computer lets make sure BitPim recognizes your phone.

go to BitPim and on the tabs go to edit>settings> and click on phone wizard.
Choose our model (lg-vx11000 (envy Touch)) and click next. Then where it says available ports click auto. Now BitPim should recognize your phone and be able to retrieve the information needed

Next: in bitPim go to view and make sure that view filesystem is checked. Once that is Done you should see a filesystem icon on the left side in bitPim. Click on that and click on teh folder that you should see.

You should see a sign saying retrieving...
It usually takes 10 seconds or it to retrieve the information from your phone. Once retrieving is done proceed next.

Next you are going to navigate to flash>ui>tools
you should see a bunch of .swf files with names like: ezTipType1Sub.swf, etc.

    Step 3:
Now its time to get some .swf games for your phone. here are some links for some games that I found worked well with the phone:

    http://www.plunder.com/line-rider-swf-download-100103.htm

    http://69.93.231.198/albino_flash0004/squares2sheep(www.albinoblacksheep.com).swf

    http://64.191.61.82/flash09/miniputt(www.albinoblacksheep.com).swf

You can find tons of games if you google them.

Now here is the "hard" part.

Download teh games and save them wherever you like. Now make a folder for the game. put the .swf game in the folder.

NExt proceed by renaming the .swf game you donloaded to the following: ezTipType1Sub.swf then make a new folder and copy that same game which you just renamed to the new folder.

now you should have 2 copies of the same file in 2 different places. Now take the file in the new folder and rename it from ezTipType1sub.swf to ezTipType1Main.swf.

Then go to bitpim and right click on the file ezTipType1sub.swf and choose overwrite. choose the new game that you downloaded and renamed with the corresponding name. After overwriting is finished you should see the size change.

Do the same thing for the ezTipType1Main.swf file.

After that is done, change the 2 files form ezTipType1sub to ezTipType2sub and ezTipType2Main to ezTipType2Main

And again overwrite the following files: ezTipType2sub and ezTipType2Main make sure to overwrite them with the corresponding names.

Thats it. youre done, no need to restart your phone. simply navigate to setting&tools> tools> ezTipcalculator and instead of the unsufull Tip calculating application you will find a fun game to play.

make a .zip with the tools contents then probably rapidshare.

You should be able to remove it. and if you want it to be secret you can wrap the url in a privnote privnote.com when you post it. then only one person can see it

it works fine, but most games are so small and tiny i cant see what i m doing - any bigger sized graphics games? also, they have to be mouse-controlled flash games, right? (no keys)

So basically we create two copies of the game we downloaded, name it what we need to name it, and overwrite both?

tman, I'll try to rewrite them for you. I just did it and also found the instructions confusing, but understood enough of it to make it work.
    1. Install BitPim (The latest version can be found here I think:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitpim/files/bitpim-tests/1.0.7.20090722/bitpim-1.0.7.20090722-setup.exe/download)
    2. Connect your phone in modem mode by navigating to USB Auto Detection in the Settings menu and selecting it.
    3. The phone should be automatically recognized by BitPim (make sure to start it AFTER you have plugged in the phone).
    4. The second-to-last option on the left-side pane should be Filesystem. Select this and expand the plus icon on the main pane of the program.
    5. Navigate to flash, then ui, and finally tools.
    6. Download a flash game, such as the ones in the original post.
    7. Copy the .swf file four times and rename each of the files to one of the following:
    ezTipType1Sub.swf, ezTipType1Main.swf, ezTipType2Sub.swf, ezTipType2Main.swf
    8. The result should be four identical files, just with different names.
    9. In Bitpim, right click anyone of the four EZTip files and select overwrite. Navigate to its corresponding file and select that.
    10. Repeat step 9 for the remaining three files.

I hope that this makes it more clear to you. If you don't understand something or it doesn't work, just tell me.

    @jimbo33000
As long as you follow the directions, I can't see how anything would be messed up by it, but there is always the chance that something could go wrong. If you get a game that doesn't work or something, then you could always just restore the original files found above.

    @thegtiguy
You can't replace those games because they are brew files and as such can not be replace with swf files.

The phone probably can't handle the game, as you suspected.
I would just play some games on line and find ones that you think would work well on the phone and then search for it to try to find a download.

    re:tman7

yes, you could make your own apps as long as they are flash files. making flash games, quizes etc is not the easiest thing to accomplish though.
  1.
Tried Linerider, very slow. MiniPutt works nice though.
I have a separate folder for each game. In it I have the copies of the .swf files named like indicated above so I can swap in the new games whenever I want. By the way you can just drag and drop to BitPim, it works just fine. Just select all four files and drag them into the flash/ui/tools folder and it will overwrite the EzTip files automatically.

Miniputt is still my favorite, but Squares plays pretty good on the Touch too. Playing slower is actually a bonus in Squares, it gives you some time to get used to the flow of the game. I found it way too fast on the PC.

guggu, Right-Click on My Computer, then go to Manage, next go to Device Manager, then click on Ports (COM & LPT) to expand it, you should see the device listed as something like LGE CDMA USB Serial Port (COM9), this means your phone is on COM 9 and that can be put in manually in the BitPim settings.

So by replacing eZtip, you can only add one flash game on your phone at a time?
And are there other apps that we can replace other than eztip because I sometimes use it.

Heres some downloadble .swf games. They'll most likely be laggy on your phone though.

weapon-x, you can replace just the outside ez-tip and leave the internal one alone:
'sub' files are for external screen

    'main' files are for internal
  7.
Have you verified that, Katzmandoo. That would kind of mean the phone would be running two programs at once. One external screen, one internal screen.

yes, i have zookeeper running when i select ez-tip calc on my external screen, yet i can run ez-tip calc on my internal screen as well
  8.
Here's a tip that will help everybody. There's is no need to make copies of the game as suggested earlier. You don't even need to rename them. After you click on overwrite
just select the file you want to overwrite it with. It's as simple as that. The phone will rename it automatically.
