Maybe posted before but no idea how to search for it.

My kids both have ENV Touch's. We had them upgraded to V07 on Saturday. Now my sons phone seems to keep auto dialing. Numerous times during the day I am receiving calls from him but all I can hear is him talking etc. He says the phone is in his pocket. No probs with the other phone.

Any ideas or a suggested setting to get this to stop.

settings & tools > touch settings > auto lock: ON

I think this is your only option (if you haven't done it already). I keep my phone like this and haven't pocket dialed anyone. Also, any kind of hard case will decrease the chances of hitting SEND when in the pocket.

...and to search previous posts, all you gotta do is click the search tab on the top of the page. the rest is self explanatory. Some people might try to rip you a new one for asking things that have already been covered...but don't mind those clowns.

So tell me the search criteria for this post :) That was my point, I know how to search just not what words to use for this search.

i would use: pocket dial, butt dial, phone lock, etc.
i just threw 'pocket dial' into the search, and clicked comments (to search within comments), and a ton of good stuff came up. Among the results is a thread "locking the phone to prevent dialing". That seems to be the thread that you need to look at. See...not so hard.

Probably harder than you just posting the link which surely would have been quicker :)

I think Andervil was being exceptionally helpful, "homemade".
There are a number of us that routinely monitor this site to help newbies or other people who have run into problems. The point he, and I, want to make is that it is time consuming for everyone to have to constantly answer the same questions over and over. And each time a new "thread" is started about a problem that has already been addressed, it makes it harder for everyone to focus on that topic.
Searching a forum is much like using "Google" or other search engines. A few key words and you can generally find the answer to your problem.

If you are looking for directions to a new restaurant, do you call someone in your IT department to do a "Google Map" search for you?
