it says the program cant start because lgnpst_genericmodel_ver_2_0_29_0.dll is missing from your computer try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. reinstalled still gives me that error thats when trying to put the .dll file in the reggie.exe

**ATTENTION** ONLY DO THIS IF YOU'VE EXHAUSTED ALL OTHER METHODS. THIS IS A LONG, ROUNDABOUT WAY TO DO IT THAT HAPPENED TO WORK FOR ME, CUZ I WAS BEING DUMB. AFTER INSTALLING "LGNPST_GenericModels_Ver_3_0_7_0" YOU CAN PROBABLY SKIP THE WHOLE v04 STUFF AND JUST PUT THE CONTENTS OF THE VRZ FOLDER STRAIGHT INTO YOUR LGVX-11000 FOLDER AND THEN REGISTER THE DLL.

to get my dll's to register, I had to uninstall LGNPST (control panel, add/remove programs, lgnpst).
After I did that, I installed only the LGNPST_GenericModels_Ver_3_0_7_0 (I dld lgnpstv1.2_store from here http://cellphoneforums.net/lg-env/t302192-update-lg-env-touch-vx-11000-latest-firmware-v04.html).
This will create only 'image' and 'model' folders in your C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST folder.
Inside "model" I made a folder "LGVX-11000" (no quotes).
I then downloaded the LGVX-11000_VX-11KV04 update (again from http://cellphoneforums.net/lg-env/t302192-update-lg-env-touch-vx-11000-latest-firmware-v04.html) and copied the contents of the 04s LGVX-11000 folder into the LGVX-11000 folder that I made.


Now go to Start>Run... and paste in:

regsvr32 "C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\model\LGVX-11000\VX11K.dll"

This should now be successful.

Now, since your LGVX-11000 folder contains v04 files, you must replace a few items with files found in the VRZ folder of geisha's rar (above). You will replace 6 files total (Brew_script, EFS_SCR, 58002-EVDO...,ERI_binary, VX11KV04_01.bin, VX11KV04_01.scr). So just replace theses files with the v08 ones found in VRZ.

I then installed (double clicked) LGNPST_Components_Ver_3_0_5_0.msi, and LGNPSTv1.2_Store_Version.msi (these were part of the LGNPSTv1.2.zip, but are also found in the VRZ folder, i think)

Then just load up LGNPST, browse for the 08.bin and upgrade.

I'm pretty sure I did this a very long, and possibly "wrong" way, but it worked. I couldn't get the dll to register any other way, so if youre in the same boat, try this.

Browser crashes after update, but the fix works nicely.

it is long andervil. all you have to do is ad these folders :model\LGVX-11000 to lgpnst folder. put the dll in there. and unzip the bin there

yeah, I think what made the difference for me is installing just the GenericModels first, without the other stuff, and then registering the dll. And finally installing the other msi's.
It just wasn't working for me otherwise, but the more I think about it, the more I see how it could be easier.

ok so i got it real far got it to stop showing my phone as unkown and the .dll file shows up now but when i go to upgrade it gives me the error unable to load [utilcom] component

also turn off bt and put the phone in airplane mode

in the middle, click on the tiny folder to point it to your bin file. click start

it's not saying unknown anymore it shows my model number and i can choose the .dll and the bin then hit start and thats the error it gives me

yea. my obligo got deleted when i did the upgrade i guess. but why do you have to del polaris too?

try upgrading the firmware again

it should fix it cuz its part of the upgrade

man, ya ain't gotta go through all that nonsense. right click on vx11k.dll and select "register library" .

I have followed everything to a T and my phone still reboots any time I want to get in to the browser. Flash V08 twice with zero error and tried restoring polaris7 in bitpim. What gives?

no need to delete Polaris folder, just delete the obigo folder and then restore on the brew/mod folder with the Polaris folder. don't restore on the Polaris folder as it'll just make a sub folder of Polaris named Polaris and it won't work .

oh, ok. well the Polaris d/l file is a good file, that's what I'm running now.

thats why i like having my own bin file..if it acts up down the road. ill flash it again. only takes 5 min.

I did restore Polaris7 in the brew/mod folder. It went through the whole thing without error...all 490 files.

No it still restarts...I have done everything mentioned above (i dont know if you seen my post before yours..)

yeah it's so nice to have it now and def. if anyone has any problems then this should be the thread they read i got it all to work. delete the old obigo and polaris 7 and then right click in the mod folder under brew click restore and restore the polaris 7 files that you dl from the other thread and voila awsome broswer
